What To Expect Book Review and Giveaway

A couple of months ago, i announced that i was invited to be one of the partner sites of  WhatToExpect.com, the online version of  What to Expect When You\’re Expecting book series. It is the best pregnancy and parenting resource site where you can actually share your own experiences and learn from others. You can gain information on what to expect during preconception, pregnancy, first year,  to toddler years plus tips and advice from experts or those who have gone through  the same situation. It is an online community for parents where we can  gather advice and useful information from the authors behind the best selling books, and a fun way to share experiences and photos of our little bundle of joy!

My baby years is all behind me, so when i received the free books from WhatToExpect, I grab and read first the What to Expect the Second Year series. It is the complete guide to toddler\’s wonder year and obviously, i can relate to this one! Understanding child\’s behavior is my primary concern, cited example is this:

Sounds familiar? Security object, transitional object or comfort object. Many toddlers latch on one comfort habit or object and some latch on several. True enough, my now turned 4-year old child latch on his comfy (tattered and completely worn out!) blanket until now. I have learned to impose acceptable  limits on carrying his blanket, and allow him to latch on it until he is ready to give it up. The book provides steps and  guides in dealing with common problem encountered, at the same time gives answers to all your toddler questions.
